What to check during an internet outage

Determine the scope safely and send useful details without resetting managed equipment.

Check whether the issue affects one device, one area, or everyone. If possible, compare wired and wireless connections and note whether phones or cloud applications are also unavailable.

Look for power loss, visible damage, or disconnected cables without moving managed network equipment. Do not press reset buttons or factory-reset a modem, firewall, switch, or access point.

Send dnbtec the outage start time, affected locations and users, any provider message, and the status of lights you can see safely. Mark the request urgent when business operations are substantially stopped.
